🙏🏽🖤 Our Lady of Sorrows Novena Begins Sept. 6th!
And a link to the Novena plus a printable!
A new novena begins on September 6th, ending a day before the Our Lady of Sorrows Feast Day. Your kids may wonder, why are we praying to Our Lady of Sorrows?
Our Lady of Sorrows, explained for children.
Mary is our mother who loves you more than anything in the world, and she is like a superhero! Now, even though she’s a perfect mother, there were still some times when she was very sad in her life. It is okay to be sad sometimes. There were seven super tough and sad things in Mary’s life, like when she had to watch Jesus suffer. These are called her “sorrows.” But instead of giving up, Mary stayed strong and kept loving everyone.
When we pray to or talk about Our Lady of Sorrows, we are talking about how great Mary is for making it through all these sad times in her life. She did it for God and for you.
Mary is someone you can pray to when you’re feeling sad or going through hard times because she understands and wants to help us be brave too!
Doesn't that sound like a mom you'd want to talk to whenever you're feeling down?
