Christmas is amazing because it celebrates God becoming a man and walking the earth with us! Easter is amazing because it celebrates the day Jesus rose from the dead! His resurrection shows us God’s incredible love and the promise of new life. It's a joyful time to remember that Jesus is with us always, and we have hope in His victory over death. Easter fills our hearts with happiness, hope, and love!

Fun Fact: 

Have you noticed many Christmas tree ornaments are egg-shaped? The Easter egg symbolizes new life and resurrection. During Easter, we see eggs to celebrate how Jesus rose from the dead! In some traditions, eggs are dyed bright colors to celebrate the joy of the season. Egg decorating became very elaborate among nobles during Easter time. During Christmas, we see once again beautifully decorated egg-shaped ornaments as we celebrate Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem with his mother Mary and his foster father Joseph.

Remember the birth, life and resurrection of Christ next time you see an egg-shaped ornament.
